Alpharetta Director Oversees Brookhaven Center
May 13, 2005 (Atlanta) - When Georgia State University's Brookhaven Center opens this Fall, it will have an experienced administrator at the helm. Yvonne Chrimes, director of the University's Alpharetta Center, will now also serve as director for the new Brookhaven Center. She will be responsible for all daily administrative operations.
Similar to the Alpharetta Center, the new facility will house the University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business' nationally-ranked Flex MBA program.
Chrimes, a Georgia State grad, has served as director of the Alpharetta Center since it opened in 2000. Prior to the Alpharetta Center, Chrimes served as director of Georgia State's North Metro Center for three years. An active community leader in North Fulton, Chrimes is a member of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Membership Chair of the Alpharetta Rotary and member of Leadership North Fulton, Class of 1999.
The new Georgia State Brookhaven Center, located within five minutes from the heart of Buckhead, has been leased by the college in order to provide a more convenient location for students who want to obtain a Robinson MBA, ranked for the past 10 years among the nation's top 10 programs for working professionals.
The Brookhaven Center, which is the second Georgia State University facility operated away from the downtown campus, will offer students more than 25 courses this fall. The three-story brick facility is in the final stages of a full renovation which will include nine classrooms and a computer lab. Free parking will be available on site..
The J. Mack Robinson College of Business is one of the top-ranked business schools. The College's Flex (part-time) MBA program has been listed in the top ten by U.S. News for the past ten years and its undergraduate business program is ranked among the top 50 in the nation. Robinson's Executive MBA program is listed among the world's best by The Financial Times and BusinessWeek magazine. Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business has an enrollment of approximately 7,000 students and is located in downtown Atlanta.
