The GSU Marketing RoundTable brings together the top marketing officers of the two dozen largest firms based in the Atlanta area. The Marketing RoundTable facilitates professional development by giving these key decision-makers the opportunity to network and to keep abreast of the latest developments in Marketing. Eight times each year, the members come together for a breakfast meeting facilitated by a leader in the study or practice of Marketing. Membership in the Marketing RoundTable is by invitation only.
Member firms also enter into a special relationship with the faculty of the Marketing Department at Georgia State University. In exchange for financial support and access to corporate resources, the members receive advice and research assistance from the faculty. This model of public/private partnership in higher education has been highly successful--so much so that it has been repeatedly duplicated, both at Georgia State University and at institutions across the United States. The Marketing RoundTable concept was developed by Dr. Kenneth Bernhardt, Regents' Professor of Marketing at Georgia State University, who serves as Executive Director. Beth Alexander is Administrative Director.
