The Center for Business and Industrial Marketing was established in 1996 to provide a unique forum to research and explore the progressive world of business-to-business, or "B2B," marketing. The center uses this research to:
- build a stronger link between marketing theory and practice;
- Strengthen marketing education for present and future corporate leaders; and
- Identify and disseminate exemplary "best business marketing policies and practices."
Currently, the Center's efforts are focused on four key topics: marketing stategies and operations, buying strategies and operations, channels of distribution, and transportation and logistics. The Center is affiliated with the Institute for the Study of Business Markets (ISBM) of Penn State University.
