(dual degree)

The College of Business Administration has teamed up with Groupe ESC Toulouse to give students the chance to earn an MBA and a Master of Management. This program offers a professional dual degree that stresses awareness of international business practices, fosters sensitivity to foreign cultures, and develops functional skills for global managers. Georgia State students must be fluent in French to be admitted and after completion of the MBA core courses (45 hours) in Atlanta, students will then attend Groupe ESC Toulouse for one academic year. While in France, students will study courses in strategic management as well as sectorial courses in banking, entrepreneurship, consumer products, research methods and management consulting. A company field consulting project in a sectorial concentration is also required. Successful conclusion of the program of study results in awarding two degrees, the Georgia State Master of Business Administration and the Groupe ESC Toulouse Master of Management.

"The Toulouse program is brand new. It is a two-way exchange with our students going there and hopefully their students coming here. This fall will be the first time that we will be sending two students over there," Karen Loch, associate professor of decision sciences said.

Loch taught at Toulouse this March - teaching an intense 18 hour course entitled International Information Technology, which she taught in a span of three days. Loch says her colleagues in Toulouse are as excited as everyone at Georgia State about the dual degree program.

"They are truly excited to have our students coming over. They are also looking forward to the faculty exchanges."
