Leonard Mendez, a 6-5 scorer on Georgia state's junior guard and the leading
Division I men’s basketball
team, is preparing for a pro basketball career
either in the NBA or overseas.

“Having your priorities straight is a must for balancing big-time basketball with the rigors of a finance curriculum.”Leonard’s mother, Tehesha, was finishing her degree at Georgia state when Leonard began his freshman year. tehesha majored in psychology and is now working for Coca-Cola. Leonard hopes to play professional basketball or enter the corporate world using his degree in finance from the Robinson College.
