Xella Aircrete North America has announced its new President and CEO of North America will be John Blackwelder. John joined Xella with more than 13 years' leadership experience in construction products management and will oversee all Xella operations, including construction, customer service, distribution, marketing, and product development and sales. Xella's global headquarters is located in Duisburg, Germany.
Xella produces autoclaved aerated concrete, known as AAC, a concrete and masonry product perfected in international markets over the past 60 years. Xella's product line, Hebel, is an energy- and eco-friendly, easy-to-install building block and reinforced panel construction system that replaces traditional multi-step construction processes that |
can include subfloors, pressur-treated wood, steel reinforcements and drywall.

Bank of America has named Matt Calman of Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) as it first Inventor of the Year. This new award will annually recognize an associate, or team of associates, who have made significant strides in the area of innovations and patents. |
"To enable enterprise growth, innovation must continue as an integral part of our work," said Barbara Desoer, GT&O executive. "Breakthrough innovation strengthens our ability to compete and better serve our customers. Recognizing the talented teams and individuals who are pursuing and patenting innovation for our customers, clients and shareholders is part of this overall commitment."
In 2007, more than 500 associates submitted ideas for patent consideration. Calman rose to the top by submitting eight patentable inventions and innovations for imaging and data capture and for his efforts in integrating innovation and intellectual property across the enterprise.

Cox Enterprises Inc. recently announced that John Dyer has been named executive vice president and will assume the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer in summer 2008.
Cox's treasury, financial reporting, control, tax, audit, information technology, risk management, real estate and business development functions will now be John's responsibility.
John previously has served as Cox Communications' senior vice president and chief financial officer and later as senior vice president of operations for Cox Communications' Western Division, which provides service for more than 2 million customers. Additional responsibilities have included the company's Central Division operations and senior vice presidency of mergers and acquisitions.
