Career Management Center - Robinson MBA Focus

What is MBA Focus?
MBA Focus is a state-of-the-art system that provides students and alumni from our graduate business programs with the ability to connect with employers. This will be the system Robinson's Career Management Center (CMC) utilizes to connect employers with students and alumni from our graduate business programs.

How does MBA Focus help working professionals conduct a "confidential job search"?
A unique feature of this product, which benefits our working professionals, is the ability to keep your contact information private. For example, by using the confidentiality option in the profile section, you can apply to openings without revealing all of your information. Employers also can review your profile and send you a blind email describing their opening without accessing your contact information.

What happened to Robinson Career Connection (RCC)?
MBA focus replaces RCC for business students and alumni from our graduate business programs. We will continue to use RCC to manage undergraduate business student job postings, campus interviews and career fairs. MBA Focus will eventually replace RCC for all graduate business students and alumni. In order to fully implement MBA Focus, we are requiring all graduates students to register in MBA Focus.

What is the difference between MBA Focus and RCC?
MBA Focus will be used exclusively for students and alumni from Robinson graduate business programs. The system contains features and functionality specifically designed for working professionals. In addition, MBA Focus engages employers to list opportunities across multiple schools. This will significantly increase our students' ability to compete for top positions in the future. Employers who contact us can source resumes and post jobs directly.

How do employers connect with students and alumni?
Employers can identify candidates by searching the Robinson MBA Focus database, or they can post a position with a deadline for students and alumni to submit a resume. In either case, employers determine a specific set of criteria (i.e., industry, geography, experience and technical skills) to identify qualified candidates for their positions. The CMC will alert you to new openings posted in the system with our weekly email, but it is your responsibility to review these postings on a regular basis.

How do I search employer job postings and submit my resume?
MBA Focus is easy-to-use and works like any other job board. It allows you to enter keywords and search for employment opportunities according to your criteria, or you may select options from a dropdown menu to conduct your search.
