Ralph Faison served as president, chief executive officer and director of Andrew Corporation, a global public company and manufacturer of communications equipment and systems, from 2002 until he completed a $2.6 billion sale transaction of the company in 2007. Immediately prior, he served as president, chief executive officer and director of Celiant Corporation, a manufacturer of power amplifiers and wireless radio frequency systems, subsequently acquired by Andrew. Earlier in his career, Faison was an executive at Lucent Technologies. He also held a variety of positions within AT&T.
A member of the board of directors of Netgear Corporation, Faison serves as chairman of the compensation committee and as a member of |
the nominating and corporate governance committee. He also is a director of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), an organization dedicated to the development and education of underprivileged urban youth.
Since the sale of the Andrew Corporation, he has focused primarily on family and charity work. In addition to his work with NFTE, Faison travels with his family on an annual aid trip to Tanzania, where they work with the O'Brien School for the Maasai. Faison received a BBA in marketing from Georgia State University and an M.S. in management as a Sloan Fellow from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He resides in Hinsdale, Illinois, and is married with three children, ages 9, 10, and 11.
